Meet The Team

Hi I'm Tammy,

Swimming Lesson Co-ordinator

I'm your Octanauts Swimming Lesson Coordinator and Teacher.

As well as being your main point of contact as lesson co-ordinator, I teach weekly classes of adults and juniors.

I have taught swimming for over 20 years and still enjoy watching people grow with confidence, strength and technique in their swimming lessons. I love what I do and being a part of your journey.

In my spare time I love reading, building Lego and eating cake.

Hi I’m Elina - Teacher

I love to teach swimming (especially beginners) and I currently teach juniors and adults on Mondays at Cardinal Wiseman.

My favourite part of teaching is helping swimmers to improve and learn things that they weren’t able to do before.

Outside of swimming, I’m completing an apprenticeship as a lab tech in a forensic lab.

Hi I’m Sharni - Teacher

I am a Teacher at Cardinal Wiseman on Wednesday evenings, I also teach the schools swimming annual Top Up Swimming Sessions at King Henry in the spring.

I love spending time outdoors with friends and family and my dog Ruby.

I love going to the theatre to support family in various productions, musicals, comedy and murder mysteries.

Owner and Managing Director

I have been involved in teaching swimming for over 30+ years, it is my passion that every child and adult should learn to swim for both safety and enjoyment, at Octanauts we share a love for the water and development of others.

My early years were spent assisting beginners at a local swimming club prior to gaining formal ASA qualifications in 1999.

In addition to swimming teaching I'm a proud National Tutor for the Royal Lifesaving Society, Senior Tutor and Brand Ambassador for the Swimming Teachers Association and Water Safety Ambassador for the RNLI.

In my limited spare time I love to travel the world and learn about other cultures and the history of past civilisations

Octanauts Team Manager

I have had the pleasure of being with Octanauts since day 1. First as a parent, then lesson assistant, moving on to Swimming Teacher which I continue and love whilst also managing the Octanauts Team today..

I am passionate about my job and love to see everyone gaining confidence in the water and progressing through the stages. Water safety is a very important life skill that I feel everyone should learn.

I am a mum to 4 daughters so in my spare time I love to spend time with my family having fun.

Hi I’m Marcel - Teacher

I’ve worked at Octanauts since 2018 where I began as a lesson assistant.

During lockdown I gained my teaching qualifications and have taught ever since alongside my full time engineer role.

I’ve always enjoyed the water and think it’s important that everyone does too!

In my free time I enjoy to water ski in the summer and watch football with my friends.

Hi I'm Jenna, - Teacher

I returning to Octanauts each Uni holiday and love teaching swimming, it is an extremely important life skill, I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim.

My favourite part about teaching is making classes enjoyable and seeing students have fun in their lessons!

In my spare time, I take part in amateur musical theatre productions and hope to pursue this in the future.

Hi I'm Cerys - Teacher/Assistant

Qualifying as a Swimming Teacher in 2026 I work as both a lesson assistant and teacher.

I enjoy teaching because I feel that it is very rewarding to see the swimmers progress and become more confident in their swimming and water safety abilities.

I also enjoy Ballroom and Latin dancing most weeks.

Hi I'm Emma - Teacher

I joined the Octanauts team in September 2026 and teach across a varity of venues and abilities, including adult classes.

I have been a swimming teacher and Coach for nearly 17 years. I love watching swimmers progressing in the water from their very first lessons to full competence.

I have competed in swimming at a younger age and completed triathlons and open water swimming competitions in both lakes and the sea!

Hi I'm Sienna - Teacher / Assistant

My approach is centered around patience, understanding and fun. I believe that learning in the water should be an enjoyable experience.

Seeing someone improve their ability in the water, smiling and feeling proud of what they acheive is the most rewarding part of what i do.
