Meet The Team.
Hi I'm Sue, Owner and Managing Director
I have been involved in teaching swimming for over 25 years, it is my passion that every child and adult should learn to swim, share a love for the water.
My early years were spent assisting beginners at a local swimming club prior to gaining formal qualifications in 1999.
I am also an experienced Tutor of Swimming Teachers and National Tutor for the Royal Life Saving Society.
Over the last 15 years I have developed swimmers, lifeguards and teachers internationally.
Hi I'm Tammy, Lesson Co-ordinator
I'm Octanauts Swimming Lesson Coordinator and teacher. I'm a cover teacher and also teach adults at The Jaguar Sports ans Social club on Wedenesday nights.
I have taught swimming for over 20 years now and still love watching people grow with confidence and strength. I love what i do and being a part of that journey.
In my spare time I love reading, building lego and eating cake.
Hi I'm Ria, Team Manager
I teach at King Henry's prep on Wednesday and Thursday and at Riverbank on Mondays and Fridays.
As well as a teacher I am also operations manager.
I am passionate about my job and love to see everyone gaining confidence in the water and progressing through the stages.
Water safety is a very important life skill that I feel everyone should learn.
I am a mum to 4 daughters so in my spare time I love to spend time with my family having fun.
Hi I’m Marcel
I’ve worked at Octanauts since 2018 where I started as an assistant. During lockdown I gained my teaching qualifications and have taught ever since. I’ve always enjoyed the water and think it’s important that everyone does too! In my free time I enjoy to water ski in the summer and watch football with my friends.
Hi I’m Elina,
I love to teach swimming (especially beginners) and I currently teach on Mondays and Sundays. My favourite part of teaching is helping swimmers to improve and learn things that they weren’t able to do before. Outside of swimming, I’m completing an apprenticeship as a lab tech in a forensic lab.
Hi I'm Victoria (Vicki)
I am a Swimming teacher at Cardinal Wiseman on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and King Henry Prep on Tuesday and Saturday.
Why: To help swimmers develop and improve their swimming and water safety skills. To help swimmers grow in confidence and ability. The thing I love most is seeing my swimmer's ability and confidence improving. I also love helping swimmer's overcome their fears and grow into amazing swimmers.
When I was younger, I was a competitive swimmer. I also love to do Archery which I try to do every week.

I do it because i love seeing the children progress and watch them enjoy swimming.

Cheerleading, I travelled to America to compete at the ‘all star world cheerleading championship’ and became a gold medalist.

I enjoy passing on my knowledge and skills of swimming and water safety to help others stay safe in and around water.
My favourite thing is being outdoors exploring the countryside, and walking with my dogs.
My first motorcycle after I passed my test was a Yamaha TDM 900.

I am an assistant on Fridays at Cardinal Wiseman and a teacher on Saturdays at King Henrys.
I think every child should learn to swim because it's an essential life skill, I want to help young children feel confident in the water and enjoy swimming as much as I do.
I'm studying for my A levels in English, Media and Sociology and love F1 and football, especially Liverpool FC

I am a Swimming Teacher on Mondays at King Henrys and Fridays at Cardinal Wiseman and an Assistant on Wednesday at Cardinal wiseman and Sundays at King Henrys. I want to help students become better at swimming and grow in their abilities. I like to Scuba diving, see marine life and the history of shipwrecks. My hobbies are Cycling, Running and Swimming

I love to swim teach as I strongly believe that every child should have the opportunity to learn a life skill that can help them at any point in their lifetime.
My favourite things about swim teaching are seeing each swimmer progress, build confidence in the water and making the lessons fun and engaging for the little ones!

I am an Assistant at King Henry's on a Tuesday and Thursday
To see children grow in confidence both in and around water and to make sure that they are safe both in their swimming lessons and away from them
I like seeing the children grow in confidence and progress through the stages, especially those that have been in the classes that I assist in since they started, as it is such a joy to see them progress from shy children in the lower stages into more happy ones as they progress through the stages
Hobby: I enjoy art and ballroom dancing

I am a Swimming Assistant on Mondays at King Henrys
I really enjoy supporting young people, either in the pool or from the side. Seeing their confidence grow is great. I remember what it was like when I was learning to swim. Outside of the swimming pool I take part in aerial acrobatics, I am a member of Warwick University's climbing club and love to draw and paint. I am also a big fan of Billie Eilish.

I do it to help people learn to swim. My favourite thing is football and I have had a coventry season ticket for 6 years.

I am a swim teacher on Fridays at king Henry's prep and assist at Tiverton on Wednesdays I love to teach swimming because I get to create a happy and fun environment for children to learn a valuable life skill. I love to ski and have a super cute dog called Geraldine.

In my spare time, I take part in amateur musical theatre productions and hope to pursue this in the future.
